Abrazo West Campus (located at 136 th Avenue and McDowell Road in Goodyear) is a 188-bed acute care hospital serving the healthcare needs of the residents of the southwest Valley since September 2003. Abrazo West Campus continues to enhance service lines which already include comprehensive orthopedics, neurosurgery, plastics, hand, cardiovascular with open-heart surgery, obstetrics, women’s health, wound care with hyperbaric treatment and therapy as well as 24-hour emergency plus trauma care .
Abrazo West is seeking a qualified Pharmacy Technician primarily to assist with shifts on evenings and weekends. Shift schedule will be rotating with some flexibility. Candidate with assist the pharmacist by filling physician orders for medications, mixes IV admixture solutions as required using aseptic technique in the Laminar Air Flow Hood, prepares and files charge slips and performs other related duties.
Special Skills: Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with occasional periods of above average pressure. Must have basic computer skills. Excellent customer service skills. Must be willing to work in all areas of the pharmacy services as assigned. Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work with team members required. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with occasional periods of above average pressure.
+ High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
+ Completion of formal education program which meets requirements for certification.
+ Licensed by the Arizona State Board of Pharmacy.
+ Completion of the national certification exam (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board)
+ Prefer one year of acute care experience.
