Definition

Under immediate supervision of CARE Program Director and Site Manager performs supervision of activity leaders and children.
Maintain accountability for the children, including attendance check into and out of the program. Maintain the accuracy of the CARE attendance lists and daily rosters. Plan and implement the CARE intermediate program and create a weekly posting of plans. Create a safe environment for staff and children. Develop an Activity Leader rotation schedule for the after school intermediate program. Create pleasingly esthetic child centered classrooms. Communicate with staff, parents, school personnel, CARE office coordinators, Site Manager and Director of CARE. Monitor and maintain Arizona Department of Health Services childcare licensing requirements. Attend and help to lead monthly staff meetings. Meet a minimum of 18 hours of in-service training in the field of childcare. Assist Site Manager with supervising staff. Participate, with Site Manager, in staff evaluation process. Monitor supply and maintenance needs of facility. Assist with the training of new Activity Leaders. Conduct and record fire drills. Close the program daily, which includes tasks of clean-up and preparation for program opening the next morning. Assume Site Manager responsibilities when Site Manager is off site. Assume tasks assigned by the Site Manager and CARE Program Director.
