Primary Job Functions:


4 to 5 years generalist experience in Human Resources Experience working in a corporate office environment preferred. Proven employee relations experience is required. Knowledge of HRIS systems (Workday), ADP and Kronos, a plus Working knowledge of employment/labor laws and regulations, required


BS Degree in relevant discipline required Human Resource certification a plus.

Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills Proven computer skills in Microsoft Office and human resources information systems Time management & strong organization skills; manage projects and meet deadlines Ethical Practice Global & Cultural Awareness Relationship management Proven use of all Microsoft Office suite programs and HRIS systems

Essential Responsibilities:

Serves as a contact and resource for employees and managers regarding HR related issues, questions, and concerns, while maintaining good working relationships and building credibility with employees. Facilitate communication between employees and corporate HR functional areas; including benefits, compensation, and training and organizational development. Administer the day to day tasks of the HR Generalist for onboarding, off-boarding, recruitment, leave cases and employment status changes Provide assistance and training to managers on the interpretation and enforcement of employment laws, HR policies and procedures. Resolve employee relations issues or elevate them to the attention of management as necessary. Ensure documentation is complete. Understand all federal, state, and local laws and corporate guidelines related to all employment practices. Maintain the confidentiality of all employee, company and customer information. Ensure timely submission of information and paperwork to corporate HR functional areas regarding new-hires, transfers, promotions, terminations, benefits, etc. Work with Requisitioning Managers and First Solar’s Recruiting Team to coordinate and facilitate the First Solar recruitment process. Conduct new employee orientation sessions and introduce new employees to organizational policies, procedures and benefits. Prepare internal employee communications regarding compensation, benefits, and company policy. Participate on and/or lead associate committees. Maintain accurate HR records and files. Ability to pull reports accurately from HRIS system. Handle benefit inquiries and concerns to ensure quick, equitable, courteous resolution. Educate associates on use of POWER. Responsible for consistently finding ways to improve processes and systems. Assist with policy development Additional duties as assigned by HR Manager
