Provides installation, maintenance and troubleshooting support of voice, video, and/or data communications networks.
+ TheNetwork Administratorwill provide expertise in the secure operation of the NIPRNet and SIPRNet enterprise network and infrastructure.
+ Maintain access control lists (ACL). Make all ACL modifications to managed network devices with no disruption in service.
+ Maintain accurate and standardized network site diagrams that include all managed devices, active network interfaces, Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, subnet masks, attached circuits with purchased bandwidth rates, Command Communications Service Designators (CCSDs), and routing information.
+ Ensure that all devices managed are working correctly using government-provided network management tools such as Spectrum, BMC Network Automation (BNA), NetScout, eHealth, DIRECTRON, Access Control Servers (ACS), and new tools as fielded.
+ Provide support 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to troubleshoot outages and other network issues.
+ Operate, monitor, sustain, and secure such devices as routers, switches, firewalls, OOB management routers, virtual private network (VPN) concentrators, and access control servers.
+ Provide a weekly trend report to depict trends of network outages and degradations, and generate other trend reports .
Associates Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
0-1 years of directly related experience supporting network operations.
Certifications: IAT II (e.g. CCNA Security, Security+ CE); CSSP-IS (e.g. CEH, SCCP); Computing Environment certifications
