Will, in accordance with established procedure:
a. Follow daily personnel assignments.
b. Sort, Pack, and Clean product in accordance with instructions.
c. Clean cans, bottles, and other containers in preparation for filling.
d. Sweep and clean food processing area and storage area as instructed.
e. Sort, select, and prepare product in conformance with instructions as to color,
texture, size, weight.
f. Report any unsafe or unsanitary condition to supervisor and or Safety Officer.
g. Label, case, and lift boxes and cans up to 50 lbs. up 250 times per day.
h. Prepare job reports as instructed.
i. Stand in Work areas that are wet, cold, or hot, with fairly high noise levels on
shifts up to 10 hours per day during the packing season.
j. Carry out special pojects under direction of Floor supervisor.
k. Able to negotiate walkways 19.5 inches wide.
l. Able to have an effective reach of 24 inches horizontal, and 5 feet vertical,
In order to sort product and deliver to production belts.
m. Stand and work at work areas having a work height of 37.5 inches.
n. Follow routine maintenance schedules for production equipment.
o. Participate in Hazard Communication Program.
Accountability: Production Laborer is responsible for all functions assigned. Production laborer may assist in warehouse, sanitation, or other work as the need arises.
*Pack 500 – 4oz. cans Whole Green Chiles per shift.
*Pack 500 – 27 oz. cans of Whole Green Chile per shift.
*Select vegetables in accordance with instruction.
*Follow direct instructions.
*Comply with Health and Safety Procedures.
Communication Skills: Speak, read and write Spanish or English.
Mobility Requirements: Lift, carry and place cases of cans and buckets weighing, up to 50 lbs.
Other: Production Laborer will be required to wear appropriate clothing and safety gear as
prescribed by Supervisor.
