Sr. Director, Engineering
Hemisphere GNSS (USA) Inc. is seeking a Sr. Director of Engineering, for its HQ in Scottsdale, AZ. This position will be responsible for the technical and functional engineering leadership of hardware and software development for all products within the Hemisphere GNSS’ Precision business unit’s products portfolio. Particular responsibilities in fulfilling this objective will include: overseeing the creation, development and design of the hardware and software elements for the Company’s GNSS precision products and engineering support services. Directing and managing reliability standards pertaining to the materials and techniques used in precision navigation product design and production. Direct engineering team in maintaining and improving existing product platforms to support key strategic initiatives. Directing and managing the research and technical design functions for electronic parts, components and integrated circuitry for the precision products line. Directing and controlling the mechanical design system and equipment design functions within the Company. Directing technical areas that support new and existing products including R&D, compatibility analysis, structural analysis and design, electronic and electrical analysis, mechanical analysis and design, product design and controls. Managing all hardware development related phases of precision product releases, from market definition through production and commercial release. Overseeing the coordination and introduction of new designs into manufacturing. Creating technical budgets, allocate resources and determine schedule of product releases or project deadlines. Directing collaboration of engineering department with all other functional areas including: marketing, sales, manufacturing, and finance to ensure alignment of engineering resources to achieve strategic targets. Only limited domestic travel required throughout the year, along with some international travel.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
Eight years of experience in the GNSS industry managing technical product development and new product introduction projects or operations.
