Job Description

Must be able to understand, implement and adhere to the sequence of service (i.e. timeliness in approaching and providing guest with service)
Must be able to use multi-functional registers accurately and with speed
Must be able to understand and adhere to all Department/Company Cash Handling procedures
Monitor the waiting line to determine if there are large parties waiting to be seated
Seat and present guest with a clean menu; Collect and inspect all menus, discarding damage/worn menus
Responsible for ensuring that tables are properly set to start each shift
Responsible for adherence to all department procedures and policies (i.e. comps, room charges, credit cards, coupons, voids, cash, identification for age, etc.)
Responsible for answering telephones and maintaining the professional appearance of the hostess stands
Must follow departmental procedures to ensure a sanitary and safe work environment
Responsible for providing guest with information on services available in the Hotel/Casino
Must immediately notify Manager/Supervisor regarding issues or complaints in the department
Assist with side work as needed until completed
Must present self in a professional manner at all times and able to function in a fast paced team environment
Must provide courteous and friendly service to all staff and guests
Must be able to understand and conform to all Company/Department Policies and Procedures and Rules and Regulations
Perform other related duties as required
Ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English.
Good communication and organization skills.
Ability to perform basic math.
