The Department of Psychology’s REACH Institute seeks part-time, bilingual in English and Spanish Survey Interviewers for our longitudinal studies. This position involves assisting in the evaluation of a strengths-based intervention, the Family Check-Up 4 Health (FCU4Health), that prevents and reduces children’s diet and physical activity problems, as well as problem behaviors. This evaluation includes engaging and recruiting families into the study; answering questions about the study; consenting adult family members into the study; scheduling and administering study related computer assisted assessments in an in-person interview fashion with a portion being video-recorded by you (using an iPad and confidential application). The position would also be responsible for randomizing families to their study condition; sharing community resources with families; coordinating with FCU4Health Clinical Coordinators who deliver the program to the families and assisting these FCU4Health Clinical Coordinators in making check-in calls with the families.
Administering the FCU4Health assessments is flexible, with families choosing where to best complete their assessments; interviewer travel is required. The majority of this study’s participating families are expected to reside in West Phoenix (Goodyear, Avondale area). These duties are typically performed during evenings and weekends when participating families are most available. There will be some daytime shifts.
We are asking for a commitment of a minimum of 9 hours per week. The maximum allowable hours will be 19.75 per week. The starting rate for English only applicants is $15.00 per hour and for bilingual applicants $16.00 per hour.
