Job Description

The Bureau of Radiation Control is looking for a motivated and dedicated individual to join our team! This position supports the Bureau Radiation Control by performing high level customer service activities for both external and internal while managing high call volume through utilization of a strong understanding of rules, statutes, policies and procedures. This position is located at 4814 S 40th St, Phoenix, AZ 85040

What will I be doing in this job?

– Approving/processing license applications

– Providing customer service via phone and email and gives appropriate specialized guidance and information to the customer to facilitate resolution of issues

– Handling complex customers in a calm, professional manner

– Interpreting and applying statutes, rules, policies and procedures as appropriate to the job function

– Sorting, reviewing and processing all incoming mail and customer requests sent via mail or electronically

– Updating databases related to registration applications, complaint investigations, inspections, revenue received

– Performing data entry for all relevant processes

– May evaluate and recommend changes to current policies and procedures to facilitate increased efficiency

– Preparing outgoing correspondence, including certified mail

– Maintaining records

– May train new staff

– Providing administrative duties and/or clerical support for special projects as assigned by supervisor to include training other staff members

- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent

- MS Office suite

- Understanding of applicable rules, statutes

- Computer software programs applicable to position

- Attention to detail, data entry, document preparation

- Apply knowledge of rules, statutes, policies and procedures

- Evaluation of pending registration applications

- Provide accurate, respectful information

- Accurate filing of documents; scanning of files

- Work in fast-paced environment with high volume of incoming calls

- Monitor workflow

- Provide specialized instructions to public; listening and interpreting complex information

- Work as a team player

- Effectively work with multiple members of Bureau’s Management Team; seek input from supervisor, as necessary
