This is a temporary Forestry Worker position with 22 openings. This is a full-time temporary

Requirements: 3 months verifiable tree planting and/or pre-commercial tree thinning work
experience. At least 18 years to travel. Able, willing, qualified to perform work described and
must be available for the entire period specified and work throughout all work sites of intended
Employer Note: Departure to other work sites will start from the Springfield area. The work will be conducted in the following areas: Lane, Yamhill and Marion, OR and Coconino, Gila and Navajo, AZ between December 1, 2019 to August 31, 2020. Drug/alcohol free work zone. Pre-hire drug/alcohol testing will be conducted at the employer’s expense. The employer’s optional housing is provided at no cost. Daily transportation to and from worksite(s) will be provided. No minimum education is required. Employer will provide workers with all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job at no charge. Show proof of legal authority to work in the U.S.
Job Duties: Under supervision, perform manual labor necessary to maintain and protect timber tracts and forests; plant seedlings to reforest timberlands, dig holes for seedlings, pack soil around
seedling with planting tool, and ensure protective maintenance of seeding by
spraying/clearing/netting/thinning surrounding vegetation; Perform other tasks including pre-
commercial thinning, tree marking, and reforestation maintenance. Walk through rough terrain
(non-trail) up to 15 miles per day during work, and carry a pack with a weight up to 50 pounds
while working in hot/cold/humid weather.
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7am to 3:30pm. Employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total
employment period.
