A Field Support Technical Specialist provides the airline with 24/7 support of complex chronic problems, repetitive discrepancies, predictive maintenance actions, and advanced troubleshooting for issues reported by fight crew members or line maintenance mechanics. They take leadership of the maintenance trouble shooting after routine repair attempts have been exhausted or have proven to be unsuccessful. The Field Support Technical Specialist provides technical assistance the development of necessary corrective actions, repair schemes and troubleshooting procedures which will ensure rapid remediation and return to service of the Allegiant Air Fleet.
Combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986. Must pass a Criminal Background Check.
Education: Bachelor s Degree
In an aviation related field or equivalent experience required
Airframe and Powerplant License

Minimum ten (10) years in a part 121 or airline environment
Minimum three (3) years experience on Airbus 319/320, 757
Minimum one (1) year experience in a leadership role.
Other Minimum Requirements:
Ability to work various shifts/days and after hours in a 24-hour situation.
Ability to travel up to 50%
Possess a valid Passport
Computer literate with experience using Microsoft Office and Adobe products.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Identify degrading or chronic aircraft problems through the monitoring of maintenance flight log history, 3 in 15 reports, AIRMAN, and Skywise alerts.
Issue appropriate corrective actions and monitor their effectiveness, in conjunction with the Reliability Department.
Clearly communicate to all maintenance departments the identification of chronic problems, the recommended courses of action, and the status of repair or troubleshooting plans.
Airport Agent – While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, climb and use hands and fingers to operate various types of tools and equipment (i.e. hand trucks, carts, ramps, tugs, etc.). May be required to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 300 lbs. May be required to work various shifts/days in a 24-hour situation. Regular attendance is a requirement of the role. Exposure to heights, small spaces, extreme noise (i.e. airport with planes, vehicles, and other machinery), temperature, wind, and light fluctuations. Ability to work in a confined area as well as the ability to crawl in and out of small spaces for extended periods of time. Ability to wear personal protective gear. Some travel may be a requirement of the role.
