A. Course Objective:
Description: Description: The Professional Medical Coding Curriculums (PMCC or PMCC-H) are designed to prepare student for a career as a professional coder. Students will be taught comprehensive/accurate CPT, ICD-10 CM and HCPCS medical coding information needed for reimbursement for medical procedures/services provided by the Physician or Outpatient facilities services. The curriculum includes: lectures, exercises, end of chapter reviews, and final exam.
Competencies to be achieved: Upon completion of PMCC or PMCC-H course Advanced Coding Services LLC will proctor the Certified Professional Coder (CPC®) and Certified Professional Coder – Inpatient (CiC®) examinations offered through the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC).
