Course Objective:

Description:  The curriculum is designed to give learners both the knowledge needed to move toward the cybersecurity industry and ample experience applying that knowledge to real-world problems. Throughout the program, participants learn tools and technologies vetted by current practitioners and learn skills applicable to certifications expected of all serious security professionals. As part of our program, learners receive two weeks of certification test prep for the Security+ and CEH exams, one-year access to CompTIA’s CertMaster online test prep platform for the Security+ exam and at the end of the course, a free voucher valid for one year to take the Security+ exam. Learning modules consist of Security Fundamentals, Systems Administration, Networks and Network Security, Defensive Security, Offensive Security, and Test Prep and Final Projects.

  • Network analysis and troubleshooting

  • Network security monitoring and logging

  • Attacking a web application

  • Cracking and securing password-protected data

  • Penetration testing

  • Digital forensics

A reliable computer is required for this program. Either Mac or PC, with a minimum 8GB of RAM and a dual-core processor. You must have a webcam and a microphone (headphones with a built-in microphone will also work). An external monitor is helpful but not required. High speed internet is highly recommended.
