Description
At Hair J’s Barber School, we understand that barbering is a field where the skills require consistent repetition and practice; for that reason, we have been intentionally engaging our community by offering our services with a number of non-profits and state agencies that provide housing and shelter to those in need. This has given our students the opportunity to hone their skills and be of service. Most importantly, we connect our students to the larger community – clients who have served as the backbone of our barbershops.
Competencies to be achieved:
1. New Barber Program: 240 hours in location one on one instruction course
2. Theory 240 hours books, quiz, questionnaires and library questions.
3. Shaving techniques: 240 Hrs one on one instruction
4. Haircutting techniques: 240 Hrs in person, including coloring and perms.
5. Hands on learning: (Field trips, to shelters, festivals, community events) 240 Hrs.

For applicants who cancel enrollment decision, course or program cancellation, or school closure, or students who withdraw from enrollment, a fair and equitable settlement will apply. The following policy ( see full policy in program welcome pack ) will apply to all terminations for any reason, by either party, including student. Any money due, the applicant or students shall be refunded within 40 days of official cancellation or withdrawal
