Wells Fargo Merchant Services specializes in providing solutions such as credit card, debit card; check guarantee, e-commerce and gift cards to businesses of all sizes. WFMS is nationally recognized for its ingenuity and reputation as a leader in the electronics payments industry.This senior product manager role is responsible for overall product management and strategy for merchant solutions for various markets and customer segments, both domestic and international. This role will play a key part in developing competitive and industry analysis, marketing strategies, and executing launch for new and enhanced products. This person will work directly with senior stakeholders across the business to collaborate and contribute to the future product vision for multiple product solutions.

This exciting role is ensure timely and successful execution of merchant pricing decisions and business-as-usual activities in compliance with profit and risk guidelines. The role will be expected to gain a thorough understanding of Wells Fargo Merchant Services pricing strategies as decisions made will have a direct impact on ability to meet customer needs while also supporting our business revenue goals. The individual will collaborate with the product and pricing strategy team members to assist with evaluation and recommendation of process improvements including simplification of end-to-end customer pricing activities and other product strategy initiatives. This role will play a key part in developing competitive and industry analysis, along with business metric analysis and tracking/evaluating performance of programs, services and initiatives.


+ Develop and/or launch new pricing strategies, including initiative life-cycle management (such as business plans, recommended enhancements, develop business requirements, design and implementation, and ongoing product/pricing support) in partnership with key stakeholders within Wells Fargo, and partner organizations while adhering to compliance / privacy and risk policies.

+ Identifies opportunities, summarize business cases, and present to leadership team to gain consensus, set priorities, and secure resources

+ May participate in or lead cross-functional projects

+ Recommend process improvements efficiencies to streamline day-to-day activities

+ Work with internal partners across the organization to ensure timely decisions on customer pricing recommendations in alignment with business guidelines

+ Determine appropriate pricing strategy and optimal profit threshold for a merchant by analyzing merchant financial information along with competitive data

+ Responsible for understanding the regulation and compliance changes made by the Payment Networks and impacts to pricing analysis and strategies

+ Responsible for identifying and resolving pricing issues and participate in special products with product and pricing partners

May be considered for a discretionary bonus, restricted or other longer term incentive awards.

Required Qualifications

+ 6+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: project management, implementation, or strategic planning

Desired Qualifications

+ Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment

+ Accounting experience

+ Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

+ Knowledge and understanding of product management in the financial services industry

Other Desired Qualifications

+ Problem solving – ability to simplify the complex, learn fast in a complex environment

+ Demonstrated track record of working effectively in a team environment

+ Excellent organization skills, detail-oriented and ability to lead oneself

+ 6+ years of financial services experience with experience in electronic payments or payment card industry or merchant acquiring

+ Experience in product management strategy and execution with a preference in merchant services or other sectors of payments industry

+ Partnership / collaboration skills

+ Execution skills – Ability to understand objectives and create deliverables to achieve the results

Salary Information

The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.

AZ-PHX-Central Phoenix: Min: $78,100 Mid: $110,000 Max: $141,900

CA-SF-Financial District: Min: $93,700 Mid: $132,000 Max: $170,300

CA-Concord: Min: $93,700 Mid: $132,000 Max: $170,300

MN-Minneapolis: Min: $78,100 Mid: $110,000 Max: $141,900

NC-Charlotte: Min: $78,100 Mid: $110,000 Max: $141,900

MD-Bethesda: Min: $85,900 Mid: $121,000 Max: $156,100

CO-Denver: Min: $78,100 Mid: $110,000 Max: $141,900
