This Patient Access Rep is FT days with possible shift rotation. Fast paced environment, multi-tasking, attention to detail necessary. Emphasis on excellent customer service and strong collection skills. Patient access performs a variety of tasks throughout the shift.
Position Purpose:
Performs patient registration and office support duties of a complex nature. Provides quality customer service to internal and external customers. Participates in the collection process of patient liability. Verifies and accurately enters demographic information in the hospital computer system. Verifies and accurately enters insurance information in the hospital computer system. Responsible for maintaining and completing accurate bed check and midnight census process. Completes all forms related to the registration process to maintain compliance with hospital and regulatory agencies. Initiates DES application on all uninsured patients or under insured patients.

Qualifications
Experience
Preferred
+ One (1) year of data entry and customer service relations required. One (1) year of registration experience in a hospital setting preferred.
