A Senior Underwriting Systems Leader plays a significant role in realizing our success and profitable growth. With deep commitment to our Company vision: “We are the market of smart underwriting solutions and exceptional experiences.” This leader must have a strong background in underwriting systems, the strategic use of the company’s existing digital assets and the vision to explore how technology can be used to help our business become more responsive to customers and their ever-changing business requirements.

This role manages the Underwriting Systems Center of Excellence (COE) to ensure that the Underwriting system product owners and support staff have a command of both our legacy systems and next generation, insurtech and digital technology. A leader who can build highly effective teams while maintaining a trusting, inclusive and productive environment.

+ Manage the day-to-day operations of the Underwriting Systems COE staff, establishing best practices in workflow, incident response, reporting, and project team participation.

+ Develop skill set of staff and ensure continuity of service and operations through cross-training, scheduling practices, and other relevant strategies.

+ Build a repository of system knowledge; determine what to include, how to maintain, how to report. Create a team of system SMEs.

+ Identify and report on individual and team performance metrics; leverage metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.

+ Manage system vendors (internal or external) from inception through performance, to dissolution.
