The Chief Operating Office (COO) is responsible for delivering a more consistent approach to business operations across Wells Fargo, strengthening the company’s risk and control infrastructure, and delivering effective and efficient enterprise services to employees and customers.

The COO group includes the head of Operations, who is jointly responsible for line of business operations with each of the five LOB CEOs. Operations functions include contact center operations, client servicing support, money movements within our businesses, lending operations, and other functions.

The COO group also includes a number of teams dedicated to strengthening Wells Fargo’s risk and control infrastructure. These include the Control Executive team; Regulatory and Policy Affairs; Enterprise Customer Excellence; Sales Practices Oversight and Management; and Strategic Execution and Operations.

The Chief Administrative Office , encompassing the Corporate Properties Group; Corporate Security; Enterprise Business Resiliency; Strategic Programs and Process Improvement; Enterprise Change Management; Supply Chain Management; and Data Management and Insights, delivers important services for our employees and customers.

The Customer Remediation Center of Excellence (CR COE) organization is an enterprise function. The Customer Remediation COE organization develops and implements consistent enterprise standards for remediating customer issues across the enterprise. The COE mission is to care for our customers and support their financial success by providing consistent, timely, and effective remediation when they have been impacted by Wells Fargo. Enhancing our practices and outcomes for customers is a critical part of building a better Wells Fargo.

Reporting to the Business Support Manager / Customer Remediation Issues Manager the Business Initiatives Consultant/ Issue Management Consultant will be responsible for supporting the development and oversight of an integrated risk evaluation program for the Customer Remediation COE. This role and individual will work with key partners to create and maintain a comprehensive risk evaluation approach in key risk areas within the COE teams. This position will drive oversight and policy adherence that in turn aligns with risk programs such as Issues Management, Risk Appetite and Risk Identification. Respective COE leaders will own the processes and outcomes of the assessments, but this individual will be responsible to support the leadership, aggregation, and comprehensive outcome/actions of those programs.

Key Responsibilities will include:

+ Developing, maintaining, and ensuring adherence to enterprise-wide operational risk frameworks, risk policies, and risk programs.

+ Summarizing complex data and identifying trends to alert senior leaders to existing or potential gaps.

+ Working regularly with COE leaders and their teams to ensure this risk intelligence is rightfully used to influence business decisions and strategy, and to drive change to improve the overall control environment.

+ Engaging with control executive teams, Compliance, and Independent Risk Management (IRM) to ensure that remediation work is completed, reviewed, and reported comprehensively.

+ Driving change where needed for universal improvements to risk programs.

Please Note: Selected candidate will be required to work within one of the following Wells Fargo locations: Charlotte, NC; Fort Mill, SC; Des Moines, IA; Minneapolis, MN; Dallas, TX; Irving, TX; Phoenix, AZ. Potentially open to other locations across the Wells Fargo footprint. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

Position is currently remote; however, candidate(s) will be required to work on site when Wells Fargo returns to standard operating model.

Required Qualifications

+ 8+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: project management, implementation, or strategic planning

+ 2+ years of change management experience

+ 2+ years of risk management experience

+ 2+ years of experience performing risk assessments

+ 2+ years of experience presenting information to senior leaders

Other Desired Qualifications

+ Experience in Issue Management, Risk Appetite, Risk Identification, etc.

+ Experience in Risk Control and Risk Assessments

+ Remediation Experience

+ Experience managing complex projects in a large enterprise environment

+ Ability to assess issues, make quick decisions, implement solutions, and influence change

+ Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

+ Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment as well as invest in managing and growing effective business partnerships with all levels of team members

+ Virtual leadership experience with ability to effectively drive results and build/manage relationships with leaders and team members in a geographically dispersed environment

+ Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Job Expectations

+ Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

Salary Information

The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.
