Verra Mobility is seeking an exceptional Product Manager for the Commercial Services business unit. In this role you will be responsible for the market-facing aspects of building, growing, and advancing one of the world’s premier Smart City platforms. Specifically, you will gather market intelligence, formulate a market point-of-view, partner with internal development teams to envision new services, document high-level requirements for new products & features, make build/buy/partner decisions, develop investment business cases, and develop the tools required to commercialize Verra Mobility’s portfolio of solutions. Additionally, in this role you will support the Sales, Account Management and Client Services teams in defining requirements for custom platform solutions for some of our country’s largest municipal Police Departments (PD’s) and Departments of Transportation (DOT’s).

+ Planning

+ Drive the success of multiple software and data product lines by partnering with stakeholders, aligning on a product strategy and deliver measurable results that solve our customer problems.

+ Gather voice of customer insights in partnership with the Customer Success team.

+ Develop a deep understanding of the competitive environment, as well as the market so as to understand market issues, opportunities and requirements. Develop plans to successfully navigate the business

+ Define new product and service solutions for current customers while also planning new adjacent solutions for the business.

+ Utilize business cases to prioritize the roadmap

+ Maintain a multi quarter product roadmap

+ Develop / Launch

+ Deliver product and service releases on-time and on-budget utilizing a structured gates process

+ Work with Engineering teams to identify, design and build scalable platform components that win in the market

+ Collaborate with program management to drive successful launches

+ Run the Business

+ Serve as the expert on our products and service, maintain customer facing collateral for effective communications

+ Define, track and elevate key metrics and success criteria to ensure offering success post launch

+ Collaborate with Marketing, Sales and Support teams to drive revenue, profit and engagement from all revenue channels

+ Own the product P&L as one measure of our shared success

+ Proven track record of successful product / service portfolio management with a focus in the following areas:

+ Driver Safety Solutions

+ IoT platforms

+ Home Automation

+ Smart Cities

+ Connected Car

+ Collaborated with product development for software-as-a-service solutions

+ Utilized a structured gates process for complex roadmaps planing

+ Experience performing market studies, competitive analysis, and voice of the customer research including,

+ Conducting customer needs research, competitive analysis, market studies; and

+ Identifying product value proposition and market differentiation.

+ Technical understanding of basic building blocks such as mobile telecommunications, Cloud technology, IoT mobile and embedded operating systems, etc, required.

+ Capability to think commercially to drive business cases, product pricing and packaging strategies and margin improvement.

+ Proven competence in project management, ideally in an agile environment

+ Successfully interfaced with customer/sales facing teams

+ Built and deliver compelling B2G (City, County, State) or B2B go-to-market strategies required

+ Experience in commercialization of software-as-a-service and BPO solutions

Individual Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s degree in Business or Technology. Master’s degree in Business Administration preferred

+ Minimum 4 years working as a Product Manager for B2B, business process outsourcing, or technology company

+ Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities

+ Strong business acumen required

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills

+ Excellent interpersonal, presentation and facilitation skills

+ Proven ability to function both as an individual contributor and member of a cross-functional team

+ A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards

+ Moderate travel required (20-30%)
