The Chief Operating Office (COO) is responsible for delivering a more consistent approach to business operations across Wells Fargo, strengthening the company’s risk and control infrastructure, and delivering effective and efficient enterprise services to employees and customers.

The COO group includes the head of Operations, who is jointly responsible for line of business operations with each of the five LOB CEOs. Operations functions include contact center operations, client servicing support, money movements within our businesses, lending operations, and other functions.

The COO group also includes a number of teams dedicated to strengthening Wells Fargo’s risk and control infrastructure. These include the Control Executive team; Regulatory and Policy Affairs; Enterprise Customer Excellence; Sales Practices Oversight and Management; and Strategic Execution and Operations.

The Chief Administrative Office, encompassing the Corporate Properties Group; Corporate Security; Enterprise Business Resiliency; Strategic Programs and Process Improvement; Enterprise Change Management; Supply Chain Management; and Data Management and Insights, delivers important services for our employees and customers.

The successful candidate will play a leading role in managing Data Management & Insight (DMI) AMI’s Audit and Regulatory Exam preparation and coordination in addition to supporting timely and accurate resolution of Issues and Corrective Actions arising out of Audit and Exam related activities.

This position reports directly to the Head of DMI Audit, Regulatory & EDC Management (DARE)

Key responsibilities within this role include:

+ Provide management and support to the Enterprise Data Committee (EDC) which is chaired by Wells Fargo’s Head of Data Management & Insights. Engage other senior level executives who form the voting membership of the committee including the Chief Financial Officer, Chief Administration Officer, Chief Risk Officer, Corporate Controller and the Head of Enterprise Data Governance

+ Prepare, manage, analyze and consolidate information related to data governance and data management topics presented at committee meetings, and ensure adherence to relevant policies and standards

+ Assist stakeholders across the enterprise in the completion of deliverables required to support the ongoing Enterprise Data Committee process

+ Manage Enterprise Data Committee routines, including committee charter maintenance, agenda preparation, content gathering and consolidation, deck preparation, coordination of meeting logistics, and documentation of minutes, follow-ups, action items and event escalation monitoring across all impacted stakeholder areas

+ Perform the role of Enterprise Data Committee Administrator and liaison in the development and execution of plans, timelines, checklists and processes to ensure the committee properly fulfills its role and responsibilities in compliance with corporate policies

+ Participate in high priority data initiatives across the enterprise, providing support to managers within the team to deliver effective data governance and data management subject matter expertise and advice

+ Assist managers within the team to provide ongoing tactical guidance and support to internal and external stakeholders involved in data-related activities (e.g. strategies, initiatives, tools, road-maps, plans, assessments, etc.)

+ Ensure ongoing adherence to data management/governance regulations and policies

Required Qualifications

+ 8+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: project management, implementation, or strategic planning

+ 5+ years of reporting experience, analytics experience or a combination of both

+ 3+ years of experience with data analysis and documentation

+ 3+ years of financial industry experience

+ 2+ years of data management experience

+ 2+ years of experience with Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) concepts

Other Desired Qualifications

+ Prior experience and understanding of financial services industry regulation as well as the regulatory examination process

+ Working knowledge of internal (and/or external) audit practices and processes

+ Data analysis experience, data management experience, or a combination of both

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Visio)

+ Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and achieve results

+ Knowledge and understanding of data governance and data management concepts

+ Ability to facilitate large cross-functional meetings and negotiating priorities, solutions, outcomes

+ Ability to comprehend and provide input to data management related initiatives

+ Knowledge and understanding of financial industry compliance requirements

+ Knowledge and understanding of technology governance

+ Ability to influence and build relationships with stakeholders

+ Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

+ Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

Job Expectations

+ Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

Salary Information

The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.
