Job Description

Reporting to the Mgr, Workday Technology, supports the company's Human Resources (HR) function by providing Workday-related system development and enhancements which includes the automation of HR business processes and workflows. Consults with functional HR leadership to facilitate ongoing process improvements and automation within Workday.

  • Responsible for the management and administration of assigned HR module(s) in Workday which includes the design, development, configuration, testing, and deployment. Works collaboratively with the HRIT team on technical troubleshooting and escalations.
  • Partners with HR functional leaders and other key stakeholders to develop requirements for requested Workday enhancements.
  • Maintains strong, collaborative partnerships with the HRIT team and other HR users to recommend technical solutions, taking into account different stakeholders' priorities and trade-offs.
  • Works with functional HR business owners to implement best practices involving Workday processes and workflow. Formalizes and documents processes.
  • Provides consultative Workday reporting support to the assigned HR function(s).
  • Seeks for ways to automate processes in Workday, and stays well-informed of new applications and outsourced solutions that may compliment new or existing Workday processes or configurations.
  • Participates in the assessment, evaluation and deployment of new platforms and applications that integrate with Workday.
  • Manages Workday-related projects for the assigned HR function(s) which includes the development of project plans and driving execution across different stakeholder groups.
  • Partners with the other Workday Technologists to support cross-functional touch-points in Workday as appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Other Job Requirements

10+ years experience in a related technology role with project implementation experience.
2+ years experience in Workday development and administration.
Demonstrated results in developing business requirements, deploying technologies and business process re-engineering.
Demonstrated communication skills, both verbal and written, at all levels of the organization.
Strong analytical skills and Excel proficiency are required.
Appreciation for and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to manage multiple, competing tasks and adjust priorities quickly.
Must exhibit strong technical credibility with all levels within the organization.
Must be an innovator and forward thinker, questioning the status quo.
Ability to collaborate and support HR functional teams as well as other cross-functional teams.
A learner, always looking for ways to continuously develop technical skills.
