The Product Engineering Manager role will lead a team of Product Engineers and cross-functional new product development teams in the Analog Power and Interface Business Unit with proven experience working with Analog Power Management and Interface products. The Product Engineering Manager responsibilities includes overseeing bench setup, definition / automation, bench testing, debugging, data analysis, reporting, project management, and technical mentoring. The Product Engineering Manager will be expected to
Manage a team of Product Engineers both experienced and New College Graduates
Oversee new product validation, characterization, qualification and material control plans
Lead efforts to validate and characterize silicon and track project tasks to completion
Participate in new product development teams and drive project schedule to meet Time to Market
Analyze and report data to cross-functional teams and senior management
Liaise with factories and suppliers to ensure devices are manufacturable and are setup correctly in the production system
Lead root cause analysis and problem solving efforts in teams
Serve as coach and technical mentor to Junior Engineers
Interact effectively with a worldwide team of new product development engineers
Analyze margin data and propose cost reduction activities
Work on systems to improve the efficiency of development of new products
Serve as the technical lead for the assigned product line
Requirements/Qualifications:
Job Requirements:
MSEE (preferred) or BSEE and 10+ years previous experience including 5+ years in a leadership role
Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Must possess excellent English language verbal and written communication skills
Must possess excellent presentation skills
Demonstrated ability to develop project plans and execute to completion
Skilled in statistical analysis for large amounts of data
Understands and complies with TS16949 or IATF16949
Lab skills on the bench and hands-on experience with test equipment (preferred)
Preferred experience with Analog products, specifically DC to DC Converters, MOSFET Drivers, CAN/LIN, Motor Control, Discrete FETs (Si and SiC preferred), and Switching Power Supplies
Familiarity with automated test equipment and programming experience, preferably Labview, Visual Basic, C++, and/or MatLab.
Preferred knowledge of ISO-26262 Automotive Functional Safety
