Job Description
Responsibilities:
Attend to patient needs through effective diagnosis, treatment, and documentation within area of assigned specialty. In the acute setting, provide medical care to the hospital patient population, maintain timely and appropriate documentation of such care, and actively participate in medical staff duties. Participate in utilization management and care management processes to ensure high quality, cost effective delivery of services and meet production standards. Partner with administration and staff to support strategic and operational plans. Work collaboratively toward needed improvements. Share night, weekend, and/or holiday call duties.
Education/Experience Requirements:
The requirements for this position are a Doctor of Medicine Degree, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree, or First Professional Degree in Medicine (or foreign equivalent of any of these degrees). Must be eligible for Arizona medical license. Must have completed a 3-year residency program in Internal Medicine. Must also have completed a 2-year Critical Care Medicine Fellowship OR a 3-year Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine Fellowship.
