Job Title:MBA Innovation Leadership Program: Lending and Banking Operations
Location:CityScape
What you'll do:This eighteen-month rotational program is designed to develop capabilities and foster innovation to scale the company to meet its next phase of growth. The program participants will become the trailblazers in their functions, working on projects to shape the future of Western Alliance Bank. Participants will gain high-impact experience, accelerate their careers as innovator leaders, build their professional network and interact closely with senior executives.
Banking Operations is defined through bank-specific economic activities, practices, and procedures that Western Alliance utilizes in order to provide financial services to their customers. This process includes detailed oversight and documentation to ensure all reporting requirements surrounding a transaction are recorded.
The Rotations for Lending and Banking Operations are:
*Loan Operations
*Payment Operations
*Alliance Association Banking - AAB
These groups are directly responsible for the management and the documentation of all information pertaining to the lifecycle of services performed/products sold in their respective departments.
LOAN OPERATIONS
Loan Operations is responsible for the processing of loan applications through detailed validation, and remaining in compliance with auditory requirements to ensure accurate completion. Additionally, Loan Operations is responsible for ensuring that the loan application is adhering to both state and federal regulation.
PAYMENT OPERATIONS
Payment Operations is responsible for a wide range of services. Most notably, we are responsible for both the safe and timely execution of domestic and international funds transfer on behalf of our clients, our national business lines (NBL's)and the bank itself. In addition, Payment Operations is responsible for overseeing the banks check processing to include our lockbox operation and remote/mobile deposit capture, credit and debit card operations, digital online banking operations and complex treasury management implementations.
ALLIANCE ASSOCIATION BANK (AAB)
AAB is a national line of business focused on providing financial solutions to Homeowner Associations and the Management Companies that support them nationwide, providing in-depth solutions for complex needs. AAB also supports Management Companies who manage commercial properties and individual homeowner properties. Services include deposit solutions, loans, credit, and treasury management products and services, all which are carefully focused on by a specialized team of Bankers.
The Rotation
The rotation begins in Loan Operations, where the candidate will develop a foundational understanding of our processes, and then they will move forward onto Payment operations and HOA, which will foster a more in-depth familiarity with Banking Operations as a whole.
What we are looking for:
Qualifications:
Completed MBA or Master degree in a related field within three years of program application
Two to Five years of related experience in Finance/Real Estate/Business/Business Analytics
Demonstrated understanding of credit and credit risk concepts and analytical mindset
Familiarity of technical programs like SQL, Tableau, R, Python, or SAS is preferred
History of acting as a change agent and taking calculated risks
Affinity to innovate, disrupt and improve
Entrepreneurial background
Demonstrated leadership and strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work both independently and on cross-functional teams
Comfortable with rapidly changing environment and reprioritization of tasks
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
