Job Description
Role Summary
This candidate performs and delivers modeling, financial analysis, and reporting to support Cox Business, designed to increase focus and awareness on performance trends and value creation in the business. This role is fast paced, high-profile and requires multi-tasking.
This candidate should be a productive professional contributor with an understanding of financial statements and their drivers. This role is responsible for weekly/monthly tasks and large complex projects, with work that requires independence. This analyst determines and develops an approach to projects and is expected to review/present reports and modeling with executive leadership. Guidance will be provided on a regular basis but primarily on unusual or complex issues. Work on this team typically involves analysis that includes internal and external data. Expert level of Excel proficiency.
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions
Performs modeling - Conceptualizes, prepares and presents advanced economic models, analyses and recommendations.
Performs financials analysis - Develops financial and operational analyses and identifies emerging trends. May include cost analysis, financial and expense performance comparisons, calculations of rate of return and cash flows. Additional ad-hoc analysis based on customer need.
Performs data analysis - Gathers and compiles data used for identifying complex business trends/dynamic and provides recommendations. Develop construct to access and manipulate data from company data systems and sources.
Performs reporting - Develops and modifies financial reports and statements. Creates advanced visualizations of extracted data.
Monitor and optimize business processes - Provides and reviews data to ensure both compliance and effectiveness of complex operational and financial processes, identifying anomalies and making recommendations.
Project Management - Facilitate partnership, coordinates stakeholder communication, and completes assignments to support project objectives.
Skills and Qualifications
Minimum
Bachelor's degree in a related discipline (i.e. Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Mathematics, etc.) and 2 years' experience in a related field (i.e. Accounting, Finance, etc.). The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and up to 2 years' experience; or 6 years' experience in a related field
Requires excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Advanced financial modeling and data analysis presentation experience.
Excellent interpersonal, leadership, presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout the organization.
Solid written and verbal communication and presentation skills demonstrating consistent attention to detail; solid organization and workflow skills.
Detail oriented.
Highly motivated with the ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. Ability to flex to perform ad hoc analysis.
Preferred
BS/BA in related discipline strongly preferred.
Experience in the telecommunications industry desired.
Experience in OneStream, Hyperion Essbase or another multidimensional database is highly preferred.
Working knowledge of Tableau preferred.
USD 63,600.00 - 95,400.00 per year
