Join us in lowering the cost of access to space and enabling Blue Origin's vision of millions of people living and working in space to benefit Earth.   We are looking for a Cognizant Engineer (CogE) with experience in flight vehicle fluid systems to support early upper stage development. A CogE is a project engineer with responsibility for the complete definition, design, development, cost, manufacturability, and delivery of flight hardware. A CogE generally has a broad understanding of components, systems, and life cycles, but also has depth in one or more areas. This role is for New Glenn Upper Stage cryogenic fluids system lead. The fluids system includes all hardware related to the pneumatics and purges including fill, vent, regulation, pressure vessels, control valves, sensors, and associated plumbing. As part of a diverse and hardworking team of propulsion, mechanical, and fluid engineers, you will deliver these fluid systems for a new spacecraft or launch vehicle upper stage. You will share in the team's impact on all aspects associated with the design and delivery the system.   This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight. Responsibilities: You will ensure complete definition (requirements) of the system You will guide or complete the design and analysis of your system and components, including cryogenic systems and components For in-house components, you will own the design and development. For procured components, you will work with suppliers or other Blue Origin groups to identify and procure components. You will lead testing and verification including development, qualification, and acceptance testing You will build and manage the project plans including cost, schedule, and risk management to ensure timely delivery. You will lead a small team when skills outside your experience are required. You may mentor other specialists and perform technical peer reviews. Qualifications: B.S. degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related field Minimum 5-7 years of experience in an aerospace propulsion or fluid subject area Experience with analysis of flow through components or systems Experience generating and interpreting Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) Knowledge of propulsion and fluid system components (i.e. valves, regulators, pressure vessels) Experience with cryogenic fluids including liquid Oxygen...
