This role is a part of New Shepard, a reusable suborbital rocket system designed to take astronauts and research payloads past the Karman line - the internationally recognized boundary of space. Through operational reusability, New Shepard supports our mission of lowering the cost of access to space. As part of the New Shepard Avionics FPGA development team, you will design, develop, and verify high-performance avionics' hardware for various flight vehicles. You will be integrated with our rocket program and technical leads to drive requirements definition, modeling, analysis, design, test, and production release of on-vehicle systems. Your responsibilities will encompass electronic requirements, architecture concepts, detailed design, development, design verification and test. In addition, you will follow avionics designs through formal verification, environmental qualification, release, and participate in flight support activities. Minimum Qualifications: B.S. or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline 7+ years, direct experience in Verilog development with strong verification focus, working in a Linux environment Strong background in Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA), and FPGA tool flow Solid knowledge of simulation-based test, and evaluation of code coverage metrics Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion. Our New Shepard Avionics FPGA team is responsible for FPGA architecture, design, verification, and qualification. In addition to the general qualifications above, we are looking for talented individuals with expertise in one or more of the following areas: FPGA design and verification to produce safety critical spacecraft hardware Implement HDL designs using Verilog / System Verilog Generate verification tests based on functional requirements Evaluate test results and test metrics against design requirements Generate test verification reports and certification artifacts   Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with Questasim Experience with advanced verification techniques: Assertion-Based Verification, Universal Verification Methodology, and/or Constrained Random Verification Demonstrated ability to author technical documentation for complex electronics Familiarity with DO-178, DO-254 and/or other development assurance guidelines Experience with launch vehicle Avionics...
