Job Description
The Senior QA Engineer will work closely with development and support to manually test FortiSIEM, run automation test cases and perform scalability tests and then provide input to developers and engineering managers on product quality.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop comprehensive test plan and test cases for manual testing based on business requirements, use cases, & engineering functional specifications.
Continue expanding the test suites to ensure enough test coverage for both functional, regression, platfrom and performance/scalability test.
Conduct regression testing on new builds to ensure bug fixes do not introduce new regression issues.
Follow up with the development team to drive the resolution of the reported defects
Work with Support team to reproduce product issues found in customer sites
Provide timely status on assignments, planned activities, issues, and dependencies.
Identify potential performance bottlenecks and threats to help developers isolate and resolve the issues quickly.
Set up test environment for manual/automated, performance and scalability testing in ESX, Hyper-V, EC2, KVM, GCP and Azure.
Perform automated and manual testing, analyze test results, report defect into the bug tracking system and push/drive issues to resolution.
Evaluate best practices and establish performance and load benchmark testing for both current and new products.
Work with business and development teams to understand product vision and requirements
Job Requirement:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or equivalent.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in automated and manual testing of Java/Python based, network, and web-based cloud service applications
Test tool/framework: Selenium, Mantis, Bugzilla, Test link
System and network administration expertise, and working with complex systems and environments.
Experience in troubleshooting of server and network configuration issues, VMware components, Linux, Networking and PostGreSQL. SIEM and Elasticsearch experiences are a plus.
Experience in the architecture and management of data center infrastructure with different virtualization environments such as VMware ESX, AWS EC2, KVM, GCP, Azure and Hyper-V, Apache web server, SQL database, web services, and Virtualization, Network technologies - TCP/IP, routing, DNS, firewall, and proxy.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $140,000-$160,000. Fortinet offers employees a variety of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k), 11 paid holidays, vacation time, and sick time as well as a comprehensive leave program.
Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, and job level. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
All roles are eligible to participate in the Fortinet equity program, Bonus eligibility is reviewed at time of hire and annually at the Company's discretion.
