Position Details:
* Salary: 25.00 - 28.00 Hourly
Position Title: Accounts Payable Specialist
Reports to: Accounts Payable Supervisor
Status: Full Time/Non-Exempt
Schedule/Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
Work Location: Hybrid - Must be able to work at our corporate office located in Vancouver, WA at least 2 days per week
Non-Exempt: $25.00 - $28.00 p/h
The Accounts Payable Specialist provides effective delivery of the account payable services for assigned locations and central support. The Accounts Payable Specialists completes payments by receiving, processing, verifying and reconciling invoices in accordance with company policy and state and federal regulations.
* Manages accounts payable services for assigned locations and completes payment of invoices, including property tax, mortgage, food order, telephone, and utilities payments.
* Provides exemplary customer service and support to team members and service providers by answering questions regarding invoices and responding to vendor inquiries.
* Maintains account payable records including timely filing of invoices and reviewing account payable records for accuracy and coding.
* Tracks capital expenditures for assigned locations.
* Assists in the timely processing of Form-1099s.
* Collects petty cash records and processes credit applications and void checks.
* Processes check requests and issues manual checks in a timely manner.
* Completes monthly accounts payable close by ensuring all items are accurately entered into the system.
* Conducts accounts payable audits as necessary and ensures transactions are properly classified and in compliance with accounting policies and procedures and state and federal requirements. Maintains financial controls and audit trails for all transactions.
* Participates in continuous process improvements of account payable programs and services to drive comprehensive results.
* Collaborates with other departments including finance, payroll, operations, and IT to ensure data integrity, proper accounting allocations and accruals, and compliance accounting policy and procedures.
* Completes account payable projects and reports as requested.
* Other duties as assigned.
Minimum of one year of accounting experience. Proven ability to understand and process accounting invoices in accordance with accounting policies and procedures. Strong organizational and communication skills including working with outside representatives. Solid experience with accounting systems. Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
High school diploma, GED or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training, and experience.:
