What You Will Do:
Ensure records are maintained in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
Support the timely and accurate completion of monthly financial statements.
Responsible for the daily accounting, analysis and reconciliation process for assigned Income Statement and Balance Sheet accounts as well as the monthly reporting of fluctuation explanations to accounting and finance leadership.
Assists in the coordination of month-end close activities and the preparation of interim and year-end audit and financial reporting schedules; identifies and communicates risk and opportunities to Accounting Managers and Controller.
Acts as a resource for external and internal audit requests.
Identifies and recommends policy, procedure, system and control enhancements related to Accounting and Financial Reporting processes.
Maintains and applies knowledge of US GAAP, bank compliance requirements and related applicable laws/regulations and adherence to policies and procedures.
Acts as a key back-up to various activities within the Accounting Department.
What You Bring:
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel skills.
Experience in Microsoft Great Plains and Banking and Investment Management systems a plus.
Ability to conduct complex analysis of information and financials.
Detail-oriented and highly organized.
Demonstrated understanding of corporate accounting and reconciliations.
Ability to work independently, use discretion and judgement.
High initiative and integrity.
Outstanding verbal and written communications skills.
Strong analytical, time management and prioritization skills.
Expertise in GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley 404 documentation and controls along with prior public company experience.

Bachelor's Degree Accounting or related field OR equivalent work experience Required

5-7 years Accounting experience; accounting experience in a public financial services industry preferred. Required

Pay Range: $63,500 - $95,500/YR
Job Classification: Full-Time Exempt
