Job Description

Engineer I wanted by GBT US LLC in Scottsdale, AZ. Design, code and implement solutions from concept to final hand-off to customers which includes requirement gathering from stakeholders, design walkthrough with engineers, implement solutions along with test readiness and documentations on installation procedure; Estimate technical effort, work breakdown structure, risks and solutions at a solution level; Optimize APIs for maximum performance, reliability and scalability. This involves load and stress test execution at predefined intervals to measure key performance indicators, reevaluating benchmark and monitoring all parameters that are in line with the year-on-year data and user growth; Analyze and resolve technical and application problems. This includes root cause analysis documentation for the reported problems with the detailed workaround to circumvent the problems until applications are updated with a permanent solution; Building and leading high performing engineering teams, fostering collaborative work environment; Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards. This includes continuous interactions with the Enterprise architecture team on industry recommendations; and reviewing and promoting recommendations in applications where applicable; Contribute to and work with fellow engineers, designers and other partners to develop and maintain application; Mentor other engineers, participate in code review, contribute in design review; Create prototypes on new technologies that fit the solutions; and Generate ideas to provide value added and share the same with relevant stakeholders.

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field plus five (5) years of experience in any occupation which includes the required exp./skills. Must have 5 years of experience with Java and J2EE; 5 years of experience with SpringBoot Microservices; 5 years of experience with ECLIPSE/STS/GitHub; 5 years of experience with Optimizing APIs for maximum performance, reliability and scalability; 3 years of experience with Openshift Epaas; 3 years of experience with POSTMAN/JMETER ; 3 years of experience with Travel industry utilizing GDS systems - Sabre, TravelPort or Amadeus (any one or a combination of).
