Summary

The attendant is responsible to ensure our standards of cleanliness are met in assigned guest rooms. Ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Keep work cart orderly and properly stocked at all times.
  • Inspect room linens before placing in rooms and return substandard linen to Housekeeping.
  • Proper utilization of equipment and supplies.
  • Thoroughly clean and sanitize guest bathrooms.
  • Daily changing of soiled linen on beds, remaking beds following the Hotel standards and standards of the Green Program.
  • Thoroughly clean rooms, balconies, and room furnishings, to include dusting pictures frames.
  • Constant awareness of safety hazards, (i.e. broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks and broken locks) Follow all training procedures set forth in the Blood borne Pathogens program.
  • Always abide by our lost and found procedures. No articles should ever be removed or moved from occupied rooms. Show absolute respect for guests; property at all times.
  • Report to work on time and according to posted schedule. Maintain accurate time records.
  • Remain alert, courteous and helpful the guests and co-workers at all times.
  • Advise supervisor and front desk clerk of rooms ready for occupancy.
  • Inventory stock to ensure adequate supplies.
  • Responsible care of all equipment. Identify and report any needs for repairs or replacement of equipment.
  • Obtain list of vacant rooms which need to be cleaned immediately, observe list of prospective check outs in order to prepare work assignments.
  • Pull/push full or empty laundry tubs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
