Contract Position
Pay Estimated: $84.40-$89.40/Hour
This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors, (geographical location, etc.)
Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.
Responsibilities:
- Engage in requirements analysis, schematic capture, routing constraint definition, and oversight of PCB/PWB layout and routing.
- Support manufacturing, integration, testing, and qualification phases.
- Apply Siemens Xpedition for schematic entry, constraint management, and signal/power integrity analysis.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams throughout the development lifecycle.
- Design high-performance PCBs/PWBs using advanced materials and packaging for high-speed interfaces (e.g., 10G+ Ethernet, PCIe Gen 4+).
- Ensure compliance with VITA/VPX standards, including VITA 46 and VITA 65.
- Use lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other diagnostic tools for validation and troubleshooting.
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related STEM field
(Master's degree accepted with reduced experience requirement)

8+ years of relevant experience (or 6+ years with a Master's)
- Experience designing complex PCBs/PWBs with high-speed interfaces
- Familiarity with Siemens Xpedition
- Knowledge of design for manufacturing (DFM) and design for test (DFT) principles
- Understanding of VITA 46/65 and VPX standards
- Proficiency with test equipment: oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.
- Experience with signal integrity and power integrity analysis
