Meet the team:
This functional department provides business partnership support for our Global Supply Chain and Procurement organization. This person must be a dedicated and financially minded individual to help drive forward process improvements and analytics in the areas of logistics, strategic sourcing and procurement. In this role, you will be a key member of the rapidly growing and developing Dexcom Operations Finance team that has high visibility to our executive leadership team. The group is responsible for providing actionable intelligence to leaders to drive the global growth and efficiency of the company. This role will be a key member of financial performance metrics improving Dexcom's ability to provide our life saving technology to global patients!
The key focus for our Supply Chain and Procurement Finance Manager will be to help develop, interpret, track, and implement financial concepts for our Global Supply Chain and Procurement teams. This includes analyzing standard costs for raw material procurement, including purchase price variances and global inventory procurement volumes in various regions and currencies. Performing technical analysis on key metrics including inbound and outbound freight to assist in shipping forecasts. Determining present and future financial performance, as well as gathering, analyzing and preparing recommendations for operating forecasts and trending future financial planning. They will own partnering closely with the Procurement and Supply Chain leadership teams to drive cost efficiency with our contracting and negotiation strategies, drive strategic thinking around financial opportunities and tradeoffs with suppliers. In addition, this role will own the Excess and Obsolescence reserve process and working collaboratively with multiple teams to determine product end of life cycle roadmaps. In this extremely important role, there will be exposure to contracting, negotiation skills, cross functional mentorship opportunities and driving large cost savings projects.
Where you come in:
- You will drive cost-saving projects with our suppliers by partnering with our Procurement Leadership Team.
- You will assist in the preparation of monthly Purchase Price Variance metrics and reporting on material costs for our products to Executive Leadership, including projected forecast updates and risk and opportunity tracking.
- Lead and develop and Sr. Financial Analyst on the team who helps support Global Supply Chain including Freight.
- Create and maintain KPI's to assist leaders in driving actionable improvements in their organization.
- Develop and maintain SOX Controls related to procurement processes as well as being responsible for adherence to cost accounting standards at Dexcom including SOX controls, GAAP reporting and accounting analytics.
- Represent Cost Accounting and Finance on new product introduction strategies and end of life strategies to ensure financial clarity and controls.
- Provide functional support to the Sr. Manager of Operations Finance in developing and documenting policies and procedures, including system requirements and internal controls.
- Partnership with FP&A organization to ensure accurate reporting, variance analysis and forecast inputs as a valued member of the team.
- Monitor and track indirect procurement savings projects across the Dexcom organization to ensure committed savings are delivered to the P&L.
- Business partner in developing annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for areas of responsibility.
- Perform month end close activities and forecast reporting for the Procurement organization.

- You bring in strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- You are proficient in all Microsoft applications, especially in Excel and Power Points (pivot tables, vlookup, filters).
- Good communication skills and comfortable working with US and International employees at differing levels
- Technical ability to work with large data sets from multiple systems and make good business judgment when necessary
- Understanding of general accounting principles & essential financial reporting for P&L and balance sheet (accruals, prepaids, capital expenditures)
- Strong work ethic with a collaborative attitude and confident written and verbal communicator
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines while delivering consistent, accurate and reliable work

Experience and Education Requirements:
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree with 8 - 12 years industry experience.
- 2 - 5 years of previous management experience.
Flex Workplace: Your primary location will be a home office. You will not have an assigned workstation and will work with your manager to determine office visit needs. You must live within commuting distance of your assigned Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km).
