Please note: Presently, this position is up to 75% remote work and 25% minimum in office time. When working remotely, 1 1-hour response time is required for urgent IT matters and is subject to change at any time.   
The full range for this position is $65,556.00 – $95,429.00.Starting salary will depend on qualifications. 
This position will require the successful completion of a Criminal Justice Information Services fingerprint and background clearance within 90 days of employment; this must be maintained throughout employment.  
Typical Duties
(Illustrative Only)
Administers the day-to-day management and maintenance of the Server/Desktop infrastructure
Administers the Active Directory security policies, user and O365 email accounts, data backups, anti-virus systems, and WSUS Server
Manages and optimizes Microsoft-based enterprise solutions in both a physical and virtual environment
Provides state-of-the-art solutions for high availability and fault tolerance
Maintains inventory of equipment and vendors
Document systems for end users and other IT personnel
Analyzes system faults, troubleshoots, and runs diagnostic tests on operating systems and hardware to detect and resolve problems
Supports end users and other IT teams, such as helpdesk, desktop support, and application development at Tier 2 and 3 levels
Identifies priorities and resolves escalated hardware and server issues
Performs activities related to planning, installation, operational, administrative, and technical support of the Operating systems environment, and associated hardware/ software components
Troubleshot software and hardware problems, and identifies, implements, and documents system fixes
Maintains awareness of and participates in planning and notification of upgrades
Other duties as assigned
Essential functions of this position include but are not limited to: walking; working with and around other staff and County employees; dealing with interruptions; repetitive motion (hand-wrist) for keyboarding; vision-acuity (near) for monitoring PC screen data; Color vision necessary for working with color coded cables; hearing and speech (ordinary conversation) for communicating with staff and customers; touch (finger dexterity) for keyboarding; Environmental hazards include electrical hazards associated with working with computers, servers and circuits, and potential for falls from ladders.
