Job Description
Citizens Financial Group, Inc. (CFG) seeks a Manager Software Engineering for its Phoenix, AZ location.Duties: Develops, manages, and retains a team of highly-inquisitive technologists. Oversees the design, development and implementation of multiple engineering projects. Collaborates with architects, product managers and other technical or non-technical stakeholders to define design approaches that are aligned with the customer-centric product vision. Identifies and mitigates engineering risks. Ensures engineering and documentation best practices are understood and followed. Ensures successful incremental product releases while driving to deadlines and optimizing investments. Assures quality through efficient management of team, processes and resources. Evaluates and limits risk and vulnerabilities during the software development process by consistently employing industry best-practices. Stays updated with latest advancements in engineering technology and industry trends.
Requirements: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, and eight (8) years of experience in the role or in a related position. Seven (7) years of experience must include: Programming in Java and Python; Conducting performance monitoring, capacity planning, system tuning, availability planning, analysis and documentation of information to create the applicable statements of work and the associated deliverables; Utilizing SQL and PL/SQL with databases, including Oracle and MySQL; Utilizing NoSQL, MONGO, CASSANDRA, HBASE, and HIVE databases to handle application data, database queries and optimization; Architecting cloud native applications using Microservice design patterns and 12 factor app methodologies; Building Event driven systems with Event sourcing using KAFKA; Performing unit, system, integration, and regression testing with tools, including IntelliJ, Junit; Physical modeling, logical, modeling and architect a large database; Automating recurring weekly/monthly jobs through shell scripts; and Creating high level design and low-level design documents. Experience must also include: Utilization of Microservice development & design patterns, NoSQL Databases, AWS Cloud, and CICD pipelines.
