Job Description

Job Title: Operations Assistant

Department: Production

Job Brief:

Packaging of materials, cleaning/sanitizing work areas and equipment.

 

Job Overview: Operations Support will help the operator with maintaining and observing equipment used during a trial, campaign, and/or .turnaround. They will ensure that all materials/products are properly weighed, labeled, and placed in accordance w.ithlntemal/.extemal.r.equir.ements. Their goalis to.ensure that the production process runs smoothly and safely while ensuring the product produced meets customer/regulatory specifications.

• - Check materials to ensure they are free of .contamination agents.

• Check the materials that are being used to ensure they are in accordance with order requirements.

• Fill bags, super sacks, and drums to proper weight according to internal/external specifications.

• Ensure that the bags are properly sealed and presentable.

• Stack unfinished products on pallets in a neat and orderly manner.

• Properly label product according to instructions, including product code, lot number and any special requirements.

• Report any failure to the operator and manager.

• Follow all GMP, SOP and HACCP for safety of self and others as well as overall compliance.

• Comply with GMP, grade requirements, PPE and sanitation. Such PPE, sanitation, cleaning, and process configurations.

• Mixing liquids and powders into multi-ingredient batches, monitoring and sampling in accordance with SOP's.

• Transfer materials, supplies and products between work areas, using moving equipment.

• Clean and sanitize packaging equipment and work area to eliminate contamination sources.

• Practice good housekeeping and hygiene.

• -ldentify improvements and communicate them with the manager.

*Must be able to work varied shifts from-6am to 2pm-or 2pm to 10pm, 40 hours .per week, 5 - 6 days a week.

_. Driver's license and reliable source of transportation

• Understanding OSHA Regulations

-• Understanding GMP and SQF Regulations

• Must have basic math skills

•• Must be able to follow instructions, work independently or as a team player, multi­ task and a self starter.

Qualifications:
Must be able to lift 55 pounds, climb ladders and 3 flights of stairs. Experience in manufacturing in operating or material handling and knowledge of clean rooms and GMP will be a plus.

 

Other Qualifications:
High School/GED

• Forklift training

-•- -Respirator training and PPE training

• Standard Operators Manual for APO Dryers: General Start-up and Run-Manual and Basic Process and dryver Operation

-• Annual safety training

 

Expected Minimum  Time Allocation and Management of main duties:
Run Report/Running Dryer 60% 24 hrs.

Packaging Material 5% 2 hrs.

Cleaning and Preparation 30% 12 hrs.

Training 5% 2hrs.

Total 100% 40Hours

 

Employment Status:

AZ At Will: 3-month.evaluation and probationary period.

AZ At Will: Permanent Employment +90 day after performance and management evaluation.
