Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for the cleaning of guest rooms in assigned areas of the Hotel or Lodge.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Specific areas of responsibility including, but not limited to:
- Vacuum, sweep, scrub, mop, clean carpets and flooring in Guest rooms.
- Dust and polish furniture, curtains, framed pictures; vacuum upholstered furniture; clean glass, mirrors, and appliances.
- Scrub, disinfect, and deodorize showers, toilets, wash basins, and other bathroom and vanity fixtures.
- Remove trash and debris from Guest rooms.
- Strip beds and remake with fresh linens.
- Replenish towels, linens, amenities, and other supplies in Guest rooms.
- Report items found in Guest rooms to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
- Routinely inspect Guest rooms for maintenance needs, i.e. burned-out light bulbs, plumbing, electrical problems, and carpentry needs reporting to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
- Take responsibility for a “Pass Key” during assigned shift, turning it in at the end of the shift to the appropriate person.
