Job Description

Job Purpose

Maintains student roster and assists with discipline on the school bus while students are being transported to and from school.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assists the Bus Driver and prevent distractions by maintaining discipline on the bus.
• Keeps attendance records; takes roll call in the morning and in the afternoon.
• Keeps records of disciplinary actions on the students.

Required Qualifications

•  Ability to work with students and be responsible.
•  High School Diploma or GED
•  Fingerprint Clearance
•  Current certification in First Aid/CPR

Evaluations

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Boards policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel.

Technology Skills

Basic: Email, Time Clock, Log in to basic software programs

Work Environment

Inside: Offices, School Buildings.

Outside: Outdoor Facilities.

Indoor/Outdoor: Travel from location to location.

Occasional Travel: For required training or professional development (In district, out of district, in state, and/or out of state).

 Possibly exposed to extremes of temperature. Occasionally subjected to extreme noise, odors, mists, dust and poor ventilation.

Physical Requirements

The position requires frequent lifting, bending, stooping, pulling, speaking, turning, grasping and carrying items over 40 lbs.
