The Pima County Information Technology Department is seeking a self-motivated, thorough, disciplined and perceptive individual to serve in the role of an Enterprise Infrastructure Engineer I, focused on Endpoint Configuration. This person will have experience in or a working knowledge of Client PC configuration and support, such as implementing, monitoring and maintaining operating systems and applications on Microsoft Windows PC's. The role involves close cooperation and coordination with other project teams, so interpersonal skills are important.

This is an in-office position located in Tucson, AZ, and cannot be remote.
Essential Functions:

Demonstrates in-depth understanding of relevant IT infrastructure specialization;

Organizes workload, being proactive and managing a wide range of requests;

Provides leadership at a technical and/or a team level in alignment with ITD and County objectives;

Analyzes, evaluates, and coordinates resolution and implementation of specific computing components within the enterprise environment;

Participates in designing, planning, and implementation of configuration and on-going maintenance of infrastructure at an enterprise level;

Utilizes and interprets system metrics to prevent system issues and provide guidance for system resource realignment;

Participates in design of critical infrastructure and IT support components to enhance service delivery, security, and support to customer base;

Delivers documentation, metrics, and other artifacts to support strategic decision-making processes;

Works with teams to research and test technical solutions to resolve enterprise technical issues and requirements;

Participates in organizational architecture design and review processes of enterprise computing environment;

Operates within organizational service level agreements (SLAs);

Demonstrates knowledge of the technical and functional relationships between multiple Information Technology platforms and systems;

Consistently delivers assignments and tasks as assigned;

Coordinates and communicates with internal and external customers/vendors with varying technical backgrounds.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college, university or technical trade school AND two years of experience in the maintenance and administration of client computing or communications hardware and software infrastructure.
(Relevant experience and/or education from an accredited college or university may be substituted.)
OR:
Two years with Pima County in an Information Technology Support Engineer position.

Preferred Qualifications: (Be specific in describing your experience in your application. Ensure the descriptions provided illustrate your competencies, specifically addressing the required and preferred qualifications.):

Minimum two (2) years experience in or academic study of Windows OS imaging, upgrades, and OS updates utilizing MEMC/SCCM, LANDesk, Altiris, or similar.

Minimum two (2) years experience or academic study of software configuration, change management activities, design, and execution of complex computer and application deployments in Windows environments.

Minimum two (2) years experience or academic study of MDM solutions like Intune, Airwatch, ABM, Knox, etc.
-
Minimum two (2) years experience or academic study of Windows Server administration and implementation including Active Directory, Group Policy, and security permissions.

Minimum two (2) years experience or academic study of scripting (e.g. powershell, vbs, etc.) to support Windows solutions.
