Job Description

NATURE OF WORK  Under general supervision, performs a variety of tasks related to agenda creation, management, and processing and the preparation and processing of confidential and sensitive information; this position has department-specific responsibility. Nature of Work  In coordination with County departments, maintains the Boards and Commissions membership lists including those on which the Board of Supervisors serve; notifies the Board of Supervisors when an appointment/ reappointment is necessary; updates membership lists and forwards membership lists to web master for website posting; prepares agenda items for appointments/reappointments as needed; assists the Clerk of the Board with preparing meeting agendas and informational packets; formats, composes and prepares complex documents and reports; assists with the distribution and maintenance of the records related to the official action of the Board of Supervisors; serves as primary point of contact and liaison with other offices and individuals for issues related to agenda development and management; prepares and processes confidential and sensitive documents and maintains the confidentiality of confidential and sensitive information; assists with processing agenda follow-up assignments and assigning items to staff; assists with processing Special District Annual reports; assists with preparation, maintenance and accuracy of documents and office procedures; provides backup with the online Surplus Equipment Auction, when needed; serves as receptionist during Board of Supervisors meetings on a rotating basis; regular and reliable attendance is required; performs other duties as assigned.
