Job Description
We’re looking for a Tourism and Marketing Coordinator to join the City of Kingman's Economic Development & Tourism team. This position plays a key role in promoting Kingman and supporting the City's tourism and economic development efforts. In this role, you’ll help strengthen partnerships with local tourism partners, coordinate special events, develop and implement tourism programs, and manage marketing and social media efforts. You’ll also maintain online profiles and the Explore Kingman website and help keep leadership informed through reports and data. This position works under the direction of the Tourism Services Manager and provides general supervision to tourism and visitor center staff and volunteers.

You’re someone who enjoys both the creative and organizational sides of tourism work. Strong writing, visual content skills, and an eye for detail help you juggle marketing responsibilities, event coordination, and communication with partners. You’re comfortable working independently, managing several projects at once, and stepping into a leadership role when needed. Above all, you take pride in producing clear, accurate work that helps visitors and partners engage with Kingman.
Strengthen Partnerships & Support Tourism Programs (35%): Support the Tourism Services Manager in carrying out tourism initiatives, public relations efforts, and community outreach. Strengthen relationships with local tourism partners, attend meetings and community events, and help identify opportunities to enhance Kingman’s visibility.
Lead Marketing, Content Creation & Social Media (35%): Manage the City’s tourism-related social media accounts, keep the Explore Kingman website fresh and accurate, and create and maintain photo and video libraries. You’ll help shape marketing campaigns, track trends, build content libraries, and ensure our messaging aligns with statewide and regional tourism partners
Provide Administrative, Budget & Contract Support (20%): Prepare reports, presentations, correspondence, and printed materials. Maintain and reconcile budget files, track expenditures, review contracts for accuracy, update databases, prepare meeting agendas, take minutes, and support routine office operations.
Customer Service & Visitor Support (10%): Respond to inquiries from the Explore Kingman website, event organizers, community members, and tourism partners. You’ll maintain the community event calendar, review and approve submissions, contact coordinators, and share weekly updates. You’ll also provide leadership and guidance to tourism staff, volunteers, and visitor center employees.
