Our work brings us into contact with the 1,000+ employees of Coconino County based in Flagstaff, Fredonia, Page, Tuba City, Williams, and many of the unincorporated areas of the County. Our current responsibilities include the management and operation of all County-owned buildings and property; lease management; planning, construction, and renovation of facilities; capital renewal; utility management; custodial service; landscape maintenance and snow removal.Under limited supervision performs work of routine difficulty in the cleaning and maintenance of County facilities; performs related work as assigned.

Typical Duties

• Cleans and maintains County facilities
• Identifies and reports repair needs
• Performs grounds maintenance, including snow removal
• May perform minor repairs, and painting
• May assist with special events 

Essential functions of this position include but not limited to driving, standing, walking, reaching, crouching, bending, and stooping to perform maintenance work; lifting and carrying up to sixty (60) pounds when loading and unloading trucks; team lifting up to 100 pounds, working with and around other employees and co-workers; working with frequent interruptions, repetitive motion of hand, wrists, elbow, and shoulders to perform duties, hearing and speech for communication with employees and co-workers; ability to safely use ladders up to 13 feet in height. This is primarily a custodial position approximately 80 to 90% of the time, with 10 to 20% of time spent outdoors performing
