Job Description
Dekker is hiring an Administrative Assistant to join our talented team. The Administrative Assistant facilitates the efficient operation of the assigned area by performing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks for the office and acts as first point of contact for our clients and representatives. As passionate and self-driven team members at Dekker, candidates would play a key role in creating inspired experiences for everyone they interact with, backed by support of a firm that has been a staple in the industry for over 60 years.
Responsibilities
- Welcomes and directs visitors as first point of engagement upon arrival
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of common areas and shared spaces
- Maintains office supplies and coordinates maintenance of office equipment
- Maintains security and access control system, as well as other assigned technical equipment and services
- Coordinates and schedules travel, meetings, and appointments for local employees
- Coordinates with and assists HR and IT personnel as necessary
- Assists with proofreading, editing, formatting, and finalization of documents as needed
- Responds to and resolves administrative inquiries and questions
- Maintains filing systems and design library as assigned
- Coordinates and executes office presentations, parties, and events
- Serves as main point of contact for product representatives
- Identifies and communicates out progress, accomplishments, challenges, and support needed to complete responsibilities
Qualifications
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrated interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related software
- Ability to work and manage tasks independently
- Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as recordkeeping, filing, and scheduling
- High School Diploma or equivalent plus two years’ previous relevant office administrative experience desired
