Job Description
Summary:
Under the supervision of the Santa Cruz County Continuing Education Adult Education Program Manager, responsible for providing instruction to adult students on basic construction and carpentry. The objective is to provide students with the skills they need to be employable as entry level carpenters.

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Leading and providing instruction to adult students on the basic skills that are needed to work as entry level carpenters.
- Facilitating instruction in a way that prepares adult students for the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) Core certification exam.
- Preparing all appropriate instructional materials and activities and ensuring that all sessions/classes are productive.
- Recording and reporting student attendance, performance, progress, etc., while making every effort to ensure that students are engaged and learning as much as possible.
- Interacting with new and existing students in a way that is professional, helpful, courteous and in line with the county’s personnel policies.
