Job Description
- Logistics & Scheduling: Plan, coordinate, and assign loads to drivers, optimizing routes for efficiency.
- Communication: Serve as the primary contact between drivers, customers, and carriers to provide updates on shipment status and special handling requests.
- Tracking & Monitoring: Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) to track shipments, monitor fuel consumption, and oversee driver hours of service (HOS) for safety.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate records of dispatch calls, freight bills, invoices, and compliance paperwork.
- Problem Solving: Address logistical issues such as traffic delays, accidents, or equipment breakdowns immediately.
- Compliance: Ensure all operations adhere to local, state, and federal Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
