We are seeking a hands-on Industrial Control Panel Supervisor/Manager to lead and support our manufacturing team. In the early stages, this role will be heavily involved in building, wiring, and troubleshooting control panels, while also setting the foundation for team leadership and process improvement.
The ideal candidate will bring strong electrical and mechanical expertise, along with leadership potential, to ensure the reliability, safety, and performance of industrial control systems. This role plays a critical part in driving manufacturing efficiency and supporting future team growth.
Key Responsibilities
Hands-On Technical Responsibilities (Primary Focus Initially)
Assemble control panels according to detailed schematics and engineering drawings
Wire electrical components including PCB boards, PLCs, HMIs, and field devices
Perform soldering using SMT techniques in compliance with IPC 610 standards
Test completed panels using multimeters, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing equipment
Troubleshoot and repair existing control panels to resolve electrical and functional issues
Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics accurately
Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and machining equipment for precise assembly
Maintain documentation including wiring diagrams, schematics, and assembly procedures
Ensure all work adheres to safety standards, electrical codes, and quality requirements
Oversee panel builds to ensure compliance with UL508A, NEC, and company standards
Support PLC integration, panel layout reviews, and system testing
Assist with system commissioning and startup activities
Troubleshoot PLCs, drives, and control systems as needed
Coordinate with engineering, production, and leadership teams
Support timelines, materials, and project deliverables
Work with vendors and contractors when needed
Assist with capital projects and system upgrades

Additional Skills & Qualifications
5+ years of experience in control panel assembly, wiring, and troubleshooting
Prior leadership or lead experience preferred (or strong leadership potential)
Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
Proven experience with:
PCB assembly, wiring, and soldering
PLCs and control system integration
Electrical schematics and blueprints
Familiarity with:
IPC 610 standards and SMT processes
Industrial electrical wiring practices
UL508A and NEC codes (preferred)
Experience using:
Multimeters, ohmmeters, calipers
Hand tools and power tools
Machining or fabrication equipment

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 – $110000.00/yr.
