Excavator OperatorPart-Time | Hourly + Benefits
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join our team. This position plays a critical role in excavation, grading, trenching, and site development projects while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating excavators for excavation, trenching, grading, and site preparation
- Reading plans, grade stakes, and project specifications
- Performing daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
- Working closely with foremen and crew members to complete project tasks
- Ensuring safety, quality, and productivity on site
- Assisting with general labor duties as needed
- Maintaining accurate time tracking and required documentation
Qualifications
- 3+ years of excavator operating experience
- Experience with site development, grading, and utility work preferred
- Ability to read plans and understand grade stakes
- Knowledge of safe excavation practices and equipment operation
- Strong work ethic and ability to work in a team environment
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
