Corporate eWaste Solutions, headquartered at 331 Cliffwood Park Street, Brea, CA 92821; phone number: (714) 294-8295, is seeking to fill 40 Electronic Waste Sorter positions from 10/1/2026 – 08/31/2027. This is for full-time, One-time Occurrence, temporary employment. Duties include: Perform manual labor duties in a recycling facility processing electronic waste materials. Receive, unload, and move incoming shipments of discarded electronic equipment, including computers, monitors, phones, solar panels and related components. Sort and separate materials by type and condition into designated categories for reuse or recycling, following established procedures and supervisor instructions. Perform basic, routine disassembly of electronic devices using standard hand tools (such as screwdrivers, pliers and drills) to separate components, in accordance with set guidelines. No repair, testing, or troubleshooting of equipment is performed. Visually recognize and remove hazardous materials, including batteries, cathode ray tubes (CRTs), mercury lamps, and handle according to provided instructions and safety procedures. Weigh, label, and move materials using basic tracking methods, such as scales, logs, or barcode scanners, as instructed. Prepare materials for further processing or shipment by stacking, palletizing, wrapping, or placing items in designated containers. Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, including sorting stations, storage bins, and processing areas. Follow all safety procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), OSHA standards, and adhere to company policies and standard operating procedures. Perform repetitive tasks in a production-based environment, including standing for extended periods, lifting, bending, and handling materials throughout the work shift. Experience/Special Requirements: 3 months of related experience required. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly. Must be able to stand, bend, and move for extended periods. The role involves sustained physical activity such as lifting, moving, and handling materials. Must be able to perform repetitive manual tasks throughout the work shift. Must be able to handle materials using both hands and perform simple grasping and manipulation tasks. Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions, including safety policies. Must be able to work assigned shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, as required. Must be able to wear and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times and follow established safety procedures and company policies. Must be able to work in a recycling facility environment with exposure to dust, noise, and electronic waste materials (Working conditions include high temperatures, extremely dry air, and drought-like climate conditions, particularly during summer months).This position operates on a continuous 24‑hour schedule, divided into three consecutive 8‑hour shifts to ensure uninterrupted processing of electronic waste materials. Rotating schedule with various 8-hours shifts: Day Shift from 6:00am-2:00pm. Swing shift from 2:00pm to 10:00pm. Night shift from 10:00pm to 6:00am. Employees rotate shifts weekly or monthly. Occasional weekend and holiday work as needed. The workers will be subject to drug testing upon reasonable suspicion, paid by the employer and applied equally to all workers, U.S. and foreign/H-2B. The workers are subject to pre-employment criminal background checks, paid by the employer and applied equally to all workers, U.S. and foreign/H-2B.
The pay is $20.79 per hour with overtime available at $31.19 per hour, based on hourly rate. The work schedule is as follows: 40 hours a week from Monday to Friday. Rotating schedule, various 8-hours shifts: Day Shift from 6:00am-2:00pm. Swing shift from 2:00pm to 10:00pm. Night shift from 10:00pm to 6:00am. Employees rotate shifts weekly or monthly. Occasional weekend and holiday work as needed. Job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position. The requested temporary workers will be based at 111 East Buckeye Road, Phoenix, AZ 85004. The Employer will not provide daily transportation.
Single workweek will be used in computing wages due. Pay period is Bi-Weekly. Employers will make all deductions from workers' paychecks, which are required by law. Housing will not be provided. On-the-job training will be provided to all employees. The employer offers a voluntary health benefits program under which the company pays 70% of the premium cost for employee-only coverage, while participating employees are responsible for the remaining 30%. In addition, the employer will provide all required uniforms at no cost to employees. Transportation, including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging, to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed by a company check, separate from the payroll check, if the worker completes half of the employment period. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will arrange and pay directly for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back to home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economically and reasonable common carrier for the distance involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $16.78 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts. Reimbursement in the first work week for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the H-2B worker (but not included passport expenses or other charges primarily for the benefit of the worker). The employer will provide worker, at no charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job and on the job training in the proper use of tools and equipment. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period only to the extent that this guarantee is enforced by the Department of Labor. As of the date of this posting, the three-fourths guarantee is not enforced, but this is subject to change.
