Job Description

Job Description: Ensure seamless integration of new products and changes. To support deployment of new products at Lucid, work closely with Project Lifecycle Management, Vehicle Integration, Design Engineering, Logistics, Manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams. Coordinate NPI activities for vehicle programs, including part readiness, MBOM updates, and build event execution. Understand product and part design and the impact of design changes on the manufacturing process. Develop standardized methodologies and procedures for pre-release testing, trialing, and validating new products. Maintain and apply knowledge of the product, production processes, and manufacturing technologies in order to understand and mitigate risks and make recommendations to optimize manufacturing and ensure product quality. Work with manufacturing engineering teams to understand the critical actions necessary for successful introduction of new features, capabilities, and products, and ensure those needs will be met ahead of deployment. Maintain and communicate project timelines. Resolve issues related to product changes and manage material cut-over activity. Improve the process and quality. Coordinate any training and technical documentation required as a result of the change. 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related Engineering field and Two (2) years of experience in any occupation in which experience in New Product Introduction or Automotive Engineering was gained. 
  • Special Skills: This position also requires education or experience with: Lean Manufacturing- 5S; Workflow Optimization; Auto CAD (2D and 3D design); Automotive Product Design; Supply Chain Management; and Enterprise Information Systems.
